A western Minnesota hospital was having issues with lost time claims. These claims were driving up their experience mod up, causing premiums to climb to an all-time high. Results
The hospital has reduced their experience mod from a high of 1.55 to an all-time low of .84 presently. Premiums are down over $150,000/yr which has assisted the budget due to health insurance premium costs. Lost time days which were over 100 per year are now down to less than 10 lost days per year. This has had a huge impact on employee morale as well.
